The formidable debut full-length by this Canadian band. Truly titled, “Putrescence” is a vast landscape of rot and dread. Coprolith illustrate this landscape with a bounty of the very best sounds of the very early 90’s Death Metal: the tank-like bludgeon of ​Grave, the monolith pulse of Demigod and the sepulchral tendrils of ​Incantation. That the Canadians splice and sluice those ingredients to their diabolical design shows both a lifer’s understanding of these foundational sounds and, more so, a will to honor this tradition ​with fiercely focused personality.
