The long-awaited 2nd full-length by this Mexican band. “Caustic Maelstrom” unfolds a landscape more hostile than all previous. Pitch-black in atmosphere, but pulsing with the cavernous muscularity of their foundational influences -early Morbid Angel, Necrovore and Incantation- here do In Obscurity Revealed surge, slice and stomp with horrific abandon, somehow retaining a vulgar finesse in the face of so much unfettered barbarity.
