The jaw-dropping 2nd full-length by this Czech band. Consuming you with an eldritch atmosphere while piercing through the fog with rancidity, “V Bažinách Vědomí” has a massive production that will crush all with total morbidity. Combining the putrid, mulchy and ghastly tones of Death Metal’s heyday with an even more classic warmth to their sound is a winning combination. While still feeling as grotesque as ever, there is more to this album than just that. It’s a savage, battering listen that combines excellently placed hooks with the more violent and chaotic moments to concoct something straightforward and yet gripping.
