A CD that compiles the “Atavistic Darkness” EP (2022) and the “Crossing the Rubicon” EP (2024) by this Chilean band, led by Nebel, the creative force behind regarded acts such as Concilivm, Dead Moon Temple and Funestus, among others. Extremely epic, raw and medieval Black Metal steeped in atmosphere, triumphant riffs and heroic chants echoing from the past. Special mention must be made of Nebel’s distinctive vocal performance, predominantly high-pitched, yet at times clean and occasionally approaching a bleak, depressive tone.
